| [Section II] Photographs
This section is concerned with hearing and visual materials such as
photographs, pictures, or diagrams to evaluate your ability to hear features
of Korean vocabulary and construction. As secondary language/foreign language,
this section allows you, examinees, who learn Korean language to focus on
spoken information by providing a variety of visual materials instead of
verbal explanation. In case of Basic-KLPT, this section evaluates simple
vocabulary and sentence structure under the basic level.
- You will hear statements and then choose the best responses after seeing
pictures/photographs.
- Choose the best answer concerned with the description of a picture/photograph
(e.g.: what it is, what time it is, what a person is doing,
where a thing is, who is explaining, etc.)

| [Section III]Conversations
This section provides the assessment in understanding basic conversation
ability. This section evaluates your ability to understand Korean conversations
through the examples of actual situations.
- You will hear a conversation and then give the best response at the beginner's
level.

| [Section IV ]Statements
This section assesses how well examinees understand detailed information
or contexts of several kinds of long or short statements (ads, newspapers,
monologs, brief explanation, etc.). A longer context evaluates how exactly
examinees understand and comprehend the main context.
- You will hear short texts (3-4 sentences) such as ad, articles, guide,
and explanation, and give an answer to each question.
- You will hear long materials and give an answer to each question. |

| [Section I]Vocabulary
This section evaluates not only vocabulary but also meaning or proper
use of vocabulary in the integrated communications such as sentences or
conversations.
- You will find a word or phrase that best completes the sentence or dialog.

| [Section II]Grammar & Usage This
section evaluates correct grammar, expressions, and usage in sentences or
conversations. Assessment on basic expressions, such as postpositions, endings,
irregular verbs, tenses, passive and causative verbs, indirect narration,
honorific expressions, and compound structure of Korean language, for beginner's
level.
- You will use propositions, endings, conjunctions, irregular verbs, tenses,
sentences, and responses to conversations or sentences/dialogs.

| [Section III ]Practical Information
This section evaluates information with practical materials such as picture,
guide, sign, air ticket, train ticket, consultation ticket, receipt, and
bill, which is not in a non-verbal form but actual linguistic information.
- You need to give a response to the questions related to practical information
which contains simple forms such as guide, sign, and bill, air
ticket and train ticket.

This section evaluates how well you can understand written materials such
as ad, guide, manual, article and explanation at the beginner's level.
- Reading short texts (3-4 sentences) such as ad, article, guide and explanation,
you will give the best answer to each question.
